at 10:00 clock, the group meets for a meeting at the hotel bar. The view of the airlines, which can be seen at the nearby airport, let us hope - maybe even one of these brings us home. The hearts beat faster, it looks good.

To shorten the wait is short hand for viewing in the "Gold Reef City" organized been. 12 people taking part - the rest stays in the hotel or driving to the airport to check the situation and what to buy.
Those of us who get out of the ATM out of money, have set out around noon to Gold Reef City. The "dirty dozen" tried his luck for money for a handful of dollars to dig. The expectations were high - too high. Gold Reef City turned out to be a theme park reminiscent of Disneyland were it not for the real mine, which opened in 1906 and closed in 1977 because of unprofitable again. We took a basket (which would be with us even banned for a window cleaner) on 220 meters deep into the shaft into a tunnel to see the daily life of the mine workers. The mine has a maximum depth of 3,700 m and it used to take two hours to come down and two hours after the top. In between, eight were hours of hard work. Of course, the workers (mostly blacks) only paid for eight hours ...

Elfi accompanies them until they sit on the plane and leaves us all on a list, after which the next plane will be occupied.
in the hotel lobby we meet at 16.00 clock in a recent meeting. Tense wait for Elfi. There are still sporting of us who use the time in the gym.
The curiosity goes so far that even a participant in the pendulum get us out telling us that we come home on Friday.
Elfi comes to us tells us that the There is hope tomorrow to get on the plane. We are now packing our suitcases, so that tomorrow we can check out quickly - so the plan.

Then there is a good and (hopefully last) night in South Africa.
