Cape Town
Done! After a perfect landing, we come on to rain in Cape Town, unfortunately. There we are already waiting for our tour guide Ingrid.
Steve, our driver takes us just as safe at Hotel Ritz. On the way we get the first impressions of this, marked by many contradictions, beautiful city (10 million inhabitants). Most rooms in the hotel are ready, some of us have to wait a bit and relax with a drink cool short. The lunch buffet (yummy) is still taken in the hotel. Then it starts with Steve and Ingrid on a city tour.
passing sights of beautiful old houses, skyscrapers and diverse. Then we visit the Castle of Good Hope. " It is a pentagonal fortress in the 17th Century has been regarded as the headquarters of the East India Company and later as the residence of the governor. It is also the oldest building in South Africa.
Then we will visit the South African Museum. Then we walk through the Malay Quarter with its colorful facades. Then we go
the Indian Ocean along the direction of "Signal Hill" to a glass of champagne in the ocean, the mountains (Table Mountain, 12 Apostles), and of course to enjoy Cape Town.
For us the highlight of the day.
Finally we visit the beautifully crafted "Waterfront" (Port of Cape Town) with the historic bell tower. well known restaurant, Green Dolphin "with pleasant jazz rhythms, we enjoy our dinner.
Tired and happy we go back to the hotel, where everyone already but now looks forward to his cozy bed.
