"Amongst White Clouds",
a film about Buddhist hermit monks in the Zhongnan Mountains, the Chinese province of Shaanxi. This area is for several thousand years is a preferred retreat for hermits, and many Buddhist masters achieved enlightenment there. The documentary is about some of today's Buddhist hermit living there from 2005. The film has no direct reference to the Shaolin temple, - in the context of a discussion of the Shaolin Temple and its culture but I find it very interesting:
